Originally, from Illinois, Scott moved to Las Vegas with his parents and his brother back in 1980. He graduated from Rancho HS in 1982 and, three months later, enlisted in the US Navy as an Electronics Technician. During his 11 years of service, Scott travelled all over the world, including Africa, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, and numerous Pacific islands. He got out in 1993 and returned to Las Vegas, where he shared an apartment with his younger brother, Michael. Soon after, Scott met Kathy (while country dancing), and in November, 2004, they were married. Scott has spent most of the last 10 years working with computers, primarily in the areas of user support, database administration, and asset management. He is currently an Analyst for the Las Vegas Valley Water District.

Kathy currently works in the City of Henderson's City Attorney's Office.
